Here we are. Five months into our recent move and things are going great. Katie's job is going well. I'm about to finish my first semester back at school. Kenley is in preschool. Parker is starting with his speech therapist. And Claire is walking at chattering and thinking she is just one of the big kids. I'm so grateful for the opportunities we've had. Going back to school, being able to spend so much time with the kids, the weekends at Grandma Teddy's cabin, the first snow of the season. All of this has made the move so worth the move. I know Katie misses her parents and siblings, but it has been so positive for our family.
With the upcoming holiday season just around the corner, I'm getting excited about the time I get to spend with Katie and kids.I had been working for restaurants and hotels for the last 11 years, mostly as a Pastry Chef. The holidays usually meant that I would be working long and late hours. Not this year. I will be having Thanksgiving with my family. I will be having Christmas with my family. I will spend New Year's Eve with my family. Do you see a pattern? My five year old daughter can. As much as I'm excited about it, I think my wife and kids are even more so.
