May the 4th Be With You!
I know, kinda geeky. Too bad. That's who we are.
We started the day with the obligatory Star Wars pancakes. I got the set of molds for Father's Day last year and the kids ask me all the time to use them.
After a quick trip to Walmart, we were supplied and ready to make our own Star Wars T-shirts. We used iron-on papers that cracked, faded, and peeled after the first wash, even though we followed the directions. Anyway, they were good for the day. Now Kenley and Parker have faded, cracked, and peeling pajama shirts.
Afternoon snack. What else but Star Wars cookies? This set of cookie cutters/presses was a gift for my birthday last year. I also have a matching apron and Darth Vader spatula, all gifts from my family, and all available from Williams-Sonoma.
To round out the day, we played the original Star Wars trilogy all day. We might not have watched it all, but we had it on in the back ground.
